Justice League (film)

Justice League is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is intended to be the fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Zack Snyder, with a screenplay by Chris Terrio, from a story by Snyder and Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben AffleckHenry CavillGal GadotEzra MillerJason MomoaRay Fisher, and Ciarán Hinds. In Justice LeagueBatman and Wonder Woman assemble a team consisting of The FlashAquamanCyborg and the newly resurrected Superman to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.

The film was announced in October 2014 with Snyder on board to direct and Terrio attached to write the script. Principal photography commenced on April 11, 2016 and photography ended on October 14, 2016. Justice League is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.


Synopsis


Following the death of Superman at the hands of Lex Luthor and Doomsday, the world is left vulnerable to threats that aren't from this world. Fearing the worst is yet to come, Bruce Wayne and his newfound ally Diana Prince begin to recruit metahumans to defend the Earth, should a threat arise. And with the emergence of a foe known as Steppenwolf, the world is put in jeopardy as the Justice League become the world's last hope.

On February 5, 2016, Cavill announced on social media that he had already started exercising for the film in advance of principal photography.
A journalist for the Daily Planet and love interest for Kent.
A 5,000 year-old immortal Amazon warrior princess and daughter of Zeus who possesses superhuman strength, flight, speed, reflexes, durability, and agility.
The king of the undersea nation of Atlantis, whose metahuman abilities originate from his Atlantean physiology. He has superhuman strength, speed, durability, reflexes, hydrokinesis and the ability to control aquatic animals.
Central City police forensic investigator who can move at superhuman speeds, with his ability to tap into the Speed Force.
A former college athlete who, after being cybernetically reconstructed with a Mother Box after a near-fatal accident, has powers that allow him to manipulate technology.

Filming



In July 2015, it was revealed that filming would begin in spring 2016 after Wonder Woman ended principal photography.Principal photography commenced on April 11, 2016, with shooting taking place at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, as well as various locations around LondonScotlandLos Angeles and in Djúpavík in the Westfjords  of Iceland. Snyder's longtime cinematographer Larry Fong was replaced by Fabian Wagner due to scheduling conflicts.[75] Affleck was also revealed to be serving as executive producer.In May 2016, it was revealed that Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will be producing the Justice League films and they will also be in charge of the DC Extended Universe after the largely negative critical reception of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Geoff Johns confirmed on June 3, 2016, that the title of the film is Justice League.That same month, Irons stated that the Justice League storyline will be more linear and simple, in comparison to the theatrical version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Johns later stated that the film would be "hopeful and optimistic" in comparison to the previous DCEU films. Momoa confirmed via Instagram that principal photography ended in London on October 1, 2016. On October 7, 2016, Zack Snyder confirmed via Twitter that filming wrapped in the United Kingdom. On October 14, Momoa confirmed via Instagram that filming wrapped in Iceland.
